Welcome to the Crazy Wisdom Podcast. My guest is Michael Tauberg. He is a hardware and software Engineer with over 10 years of experience in firmware, systems validation and test automation. And today we're going to be talking about what happened about a week ago with the US Government putting. I mean, I don't know how to describe them, except for sanctions on semiconductors produced in China and basically giving a bunch of US Workers ultimatum that you got to choose between working for their startups that they had created in China, building these, these semiconductors, or giving up U.S. citizenship. And so I'm really excited to talk to you about that because I think you might have some special insight for us. So welcome to the show.

Hey, thanks. Good to be here. Yeah, no, it's, it was, it was. I mean, I think people are going to be working through the implications of this, these, like, sanctions for a long time. They're very serious. And they've only, they, I mean, they've. It started, you know, before October 7th, but it's been ratcheting up on, on the limitations we're putting on China's technological capabilities in semiconductors. And so it seems like the clear goal of the United States government, the Department of Commerce in this case, is to limit the development of Chinese semiconductor technology and AI technology. So the two, some of the two most advanced technologies in the world, we're trying to cut them off, basically.
