Welcome to the Crazy Wisdom Podcast. Today I interviewed Sean Hathi Rahmani, and Sean is the CEO of FlockJ, a very interesting company, which I'll let him explain more about. Really enjoyed this interview. Sean knows a lot about how to sell something, and his company helps students figure out how to sell stuff. And sales has been an interesting thing for me. One thing I've been recently noticing is that in order to get people on the show for the podcast, I have to do a lot of cold calls. And at first, that cold calling, usually just reaching out to people on Twitter, but also LinkedIn and wherever I can find them. Usually that cold calling was stressful for me in the first couple months, but now I've been doing this for two years. And so cold calling when it comes to the podcast is super easy for me. I don't have to think about it anymore when somebody says, no, it's not a huge deal at all. I don't care if there's like thousands of people I want to interview. So it just doesn't bother me anymore. But then the interesting thing for me now that I'm learning is the sales aspect of actually selling something, because I do have products and services that I'm now interested in selling. And that is an interesting thing because I don't.

Sean Hathiramani01:24

I don't.

Um, the. There's something I haven't figured out about it that I want to learn. Um, and this is part of the reason why I was interested in talking about Sean. Uh, and so this is all information that I'm interested in knowing. And Sean has a lot of valuable wisdom to share here, so I hope you enjoy it. And yeah, I just want to let you guys know that I'm starting to do more interviews in other languages. I'm thinking about making a change very quickly to either Mexico, Colombia, or Brazil and going. Doing more interviews in Spanish and going. Chronicling the rise of technology innovation. I have already started to do interviews remotely with these people, but I'm thinking about going down and actually making a move specifically to these places. And it's interesting. What I'm noticing in my precursory research is that Mexico City seems to be the place where most of the founders are moving. YC invested a lot in a lot of companies in Mexico City, and it seems that founders from other countries are moving to Mexico. Other countries in Latin America are moving to Mexico City in order to start their companies there, which is a really, really interesting kind of shift that we're seeing. And then Sao Paulo would be an interesting place. Of course, I already Have a lot of connections there with a lot of companies. Brazil is a huge market and traditionally has a lot of technology people. I mean, a lot of founders in San Francisco are from Brazil as well, which is very interesting. So, yeah, I'm going to make this move soon and do a lot more content in other languages. So if you want to listen to that, go ahead and follow razywisdomesp. That's going to be my first one in Spanish and I'll be releasing the episodes in Spanish on that channel there. And if you want to follow my personal account, if you want to kind of let me know what you think of this episode, find me @stuartalsopiii on Twitter. I'd love to hear what you think. Please send me a DM. My DMs are open. I'd love to hear whatever anybody thinks about the show or just what you're working on, if you want to be interviewed too, if you're doing something interesting, if you're a founder or a creative. Basically I interview people who are creating things daily and really what that means in this day and age. So, yeah, come find me Ewart Allsop III or crazywisdomesp, if you speak Spanish and you want to listen to the episodes in Spanish. So have a great day.
