Special Interview About Ocean Health: Daniela V. Fernandez

Welcome to the Crazy Wisdom Podcast. Today's episode is with Daniela Fernandez, who is head of the Sustainable Ocean alliance in San Francisco. It's part of a special interview series I did at the Tonic Conference about ocean technology and how ocean technology can help us solve the situation we have, which is that we are putting a huge amount of stress on the oceans, which are one of our largest creative assets we have as a human species. But because they're part of this collective commons, most of the ocean is under territorial waters that isn't under any control over any centralized government. It's free to anyone, for anyone to use. So it's an issue because people use it to excess. And, you know, a huge portion of our population is dependent on the ocean for their livelihood. So it's a big problem. Then these guys at Tonic are trying to funnel capital into technologies that might offer solutions to some of these grave problems we're facing. I hope you enjoy this episode.
