How could that, how could China and India been so dominant for so long if they had a disadvantaged geography? That just doesn't make any sense. The height of their mountains didn't suddenly change. It didn't happen that in the 16th or 17th century they said, well, that was a good geography for a thousand years. Now we're going to shrink all the mountains and change the landscape. And now it's your turn. Western Europe. That doesn't happen. It's the same geography. It's the same climate.
Welcome to the Crazy Wisdom Podcast. Today I interviewed Safi Bahcall. Safi has been an entrepreneur in a past life and built a biotechnology company. And he saw something while he was building this company about the nature of innovation and the nature of innovation within groups and organizations. And then he brought his biology training into it and started to apply a framework that he got from biology onto organizations, which are essentially biology because we're all humans, right? And really interesting book. Highly, highly recommend it. This is my discussion with him.
and stress, but I ended up just kind of interviewing him about the book and the insights in the book. One of my favorite things about reading is that reading a book specifically is that it offers you a chance to revisit ideas over and over again as you're reading the book. And so when I interview an author or somebody else who's read the book, it's a chance, chance for me to basically have spaced repetition on the ideas in the book so that they solidify in my mind and hopefully in your minds as well.
