Russell Ladson - How will we interact with computers through VR?

But like, this is the first time where I think in the history of VR where it's actually being taken serious by mainstream and the public. I don't think this is a false start. I think we had a lot of false starts in the past, but this one is not a false start. And so because of that, it's just exciting to kind of be at that genesis of the next computing paradigm.

Welcome to the Crazy Wisdom podcast. Today's guest is Russell Latson. We actually recorded this episode before Oculus and Facebook came out with the Quest. And since that, since the interview, I've had an opportunity to use the quest with a game that a friend of mine is helping to create. But basically it's like dancing. It teaches you how to dance and it was mind blowing. Like, I now agree that Russell is right, that we are now at the cusp of a real movement towards computing taking place in virtual environments. And of course, like everything, it's starting with games, probably porn as well. So I think you guys should listen to Russell's thoughts. He has a lot of interesting things to say about VR. I really enjoyed this interview because we got to flow just doing improv, basically about our thoughts on technology and what it means to compute and what it means to interact visually with computation with computers.
