Welcome to the Crazy Wisdom Podcast. My guest today is AJ Lamarck. He is a software engineer interested in Urbit and data composability. And he just went to the Urbit Summit on the volcano in El Salvador and I'm sure we're going to speak about that and probably going to speak about data composability and Urbit. So welcome to the show.

So what is a high level understanding of data composability?

I think it's maybe been addressed better by other people over time, but just kind of multiple, multiple applications sharing data and kind of how do you make those interfaces work? Because that's, I think it's been kind of an idea that composability is something people want, but it's just been a kind of a difficult thing to, to get right. And you can see that it really hasn't been done at all yet. There was kind of a, a little bit of a time where I guess Twitter and Facebook had some sort of open APIs that developers can build on top of. That was kind of before my time. I think that was late 2000s, early 2000s. But as that has been shut down to kind of prioritize, I guess it's, it's mostly when data is like data is the main product that these applications have, so they want to protect it as much as possible versus you're looking at an open system like Urbit. That's kind of the benefit is you can separate out the data from the code. So that kind of gets into ideas of personal AI and more things on those lines.
