I go there, my guests go there, and you benefit. Please let me know if you enjoy these episodes and as always, subscribe on itunes, Spotify, or wherever you listen to the podcasts.
Welcome to the Crazy Wisdom Podcast. My guest today is Ivan Vendroff. He is a AI researcher, ML engineer interested in speculation of on future systems and where we're headed with technology. We first started talking on Twitter about kind of where spirituality and technology meet and how we can. How spiritual practice might be able to help us gain clarity in the face of rapid acceleration in terms of technology. Welcome to the show.
So, I'm interested. I love your tweets. I love what you're talking about. I'm interested, do you have a spiritual practice or what's your take on spirituality?
Interesting. I would say I'm between spiritual practices right now. I grew up very religious. I grew up Russian Orthodox, so going to church every Sunday, praying a lot, and that kind of thing. I've dabbled in various forms of meditation, but none of them have really stuck. The thing that's really working for me now is this technique called, I guess, Alexander technique, and especially the part of Alexander technique that's like expanded awareness. So. So kind of keeping all the various things that I might focus my attention on in awareness at once instead of, like, immediately reacting to stimuli. And I don't know, I think, like, all these practices probably make sense for a particular kind of person, and this is the one that really seems to kind of work for me and improve. Improve my experience.
