work with and manage the stress that is inherent in creative work. What I'm looking for is answering the question, what is the connection between stress and creativity? Is stress inherent to creativity or does creativity relieve stress?
And that's why I'm interviewing people who are creating something. Usually I'm based in San Francisco, but for the last month, I've been traveling around Europe and interviewing people here about what the connection is between stress and creativity. Today I interviewed Marie Schniggins. She's the CEO of Work well, an app that I will let her introduce more. She has some really beautiful wisdom about how she works with stress, her meditation practice, basically all the things that kind of help her live this daily life. One of the most important things she shared with me was the importance of disconnecting. As entrepreneurs, we tend to be always on, and it's important for her to disconnect totally. She goes off into the wilderness for weeks at a time, makes sure that everybody at her company knows that she's going to be gone for a week and off in the wilderness. And then she takes that time to really read and delve into the bigger, higher level, strategic kind of things that she needs to focus on. I really think you'll enjoy this podcast, and if you do, please find us on itunes by searching for Crazy Wisdom and go ahead and subscribing.
