Welcome to the Crazy Wisdom podcast. My guest today is Farhaj Mayan, and he is developing Solana economic zones with Forma. And we're gonna. We're both here in person in Buenos Aires, gonna talk about this new Solana Economic Zone that you're creating down here. So what? Well, first of all, welcome to the show.
Yeah, I mean, I think the easiest way to think about a Solana Economic Zone is a lot of countries and popular example are like Dubai and Shenzhen, you know, so they. They create these special jurisdictions where they come up with new legal and regulatory and economic frameworks to incentivize business, to attract talent, to attract capital into the country. And they've been extremely successful. And more countries are interested in doing this. And in my opinion, I've always thought about Solana as an economic zone or a country native to the Internet with billions of dollars of economic activity going through the chain every week. And so they've indirectly, by virtue of a lot of community experiments, created a lot of direct investment and foreign direct investment into countries around the world. Organizations like superteam, which bring in millions of dollars of grants and jobs and upskilling through education. And so after my prior experience at a cool company called buildspace, where we talk to governments a lot on economic development, I got super inspired to kind of think about public private partnerships in a new way where we help states on the cloud like Solana be able to kind of formalize trade relationships with states that are physical to essentially drive more local economic development by bringing a lot more of the resources. I get super nerdy about this, again, talk about it more. But the idea is that it is a Internet native free zone or Internet native economic zone that manifests in person in different countries around the world to educate not only government officials, but also founders who are looking to launch products in new markets, locals who are looking to understand how they can attract more dollars into the country. And get jobs on the Internet and do really incredible things like that. So that's the high level overview.
