I just learned about Poland. I know that Poland increased their exports from China of robotics by 7,000% this year and they're the leader outside of Vietnam, Mexico and a few other places. What originally got you into robotics?

Marcin Dumcik01:11

Yeah, that's a great question. So I was thinking about it even when writing a bio note about me for the podcast and I think it comes a bit from my parents and my initial interest as a child. So on one hand, so my mom is an active academic in the technical field, so she always took me to the university, showed me things. It was mostly about high voltage and electricity, but still I was touching some random electron microscopes on a room next to hers and stuff like this. While on the other hand, my father, he's also super interested in technology. He has this super wide knowledge about pretty much anything technical. So he did electronics and microwave communications and mechanical engineering. So he was trained as basically aerospace engineer back in communist Poland. And he got this magic knowledge that I'm still absolutely impressed by because he can answer pretty much any question. So we did a lot of things together with him, right? Like disassembled devices, looked how things work already as a few year old and this somehow started the passion for moving things, for technical things, for building things.
