This is our fifth podcast, not our fourth podcast, and we're going to get right into treasure hunts, because you were talking about how it almost is like the demiurge. You were talking about the demiurge kind of treasure hunt type of thing where we're stuck in this world and we're offered treasure in this desire sense, but then the desired thing turns out not to be actually that gold. Is that what you were saying?
I think there's an aspect of that, but it wasn't exactly what I was aiming at. Because I think if we maintain something like an optimal posture towards our experience of reality, it's one where we're integrating feedback through all kinds of sensory type of interfaces and informational landscapes, all these sorts of things in different contexts. And there are no really, like, empirically sound places that you can just reach out and constantly touch and be like, this tells me where I am in relationship to everything else. Right. Like. Like, that's not. We don't have real oracles in that sense that kind of give us that sort of empiricism. Instead. It's kind of like you can. You can frame the world more or less structurally based on principles and all these sorts of things. You can impose some sort of constraints and principles into the world. Right? And those can sort of define then the way that you perceive how the world works, how it can work, and what can and can't be. But I actually think what's a better posture is one that's. That's driven by more like curiosity or imagination. And it's a harder thing to kind of walk that path because it's not so propositionally bounded. And you have to kind of maintain a higher level of openness just in general, because you have to allow a bunch of new information to be potentially viable or have some kind of relevance or soundness, at least if it kind of resonates. Right. Like that. That's the thing you sort of have to tune for, I think in your personal experience is like when you encounter really novel information, does it have some sort of resonance where it maybe triangulates with other things that are already in your map? Because that might be something like justification to pursue the impulse to dive deeper down that rabbit hole. Because, you know, you.
